VA-O's Bike Clinic March 2008

VA-O's Bike Clinic had a real good turn out even with cool weather and rainy in some parts of Hampton Roads. A special THANK YOU goes out to Bruce & Pauline Ryan for hosting this event again at their house. A hearty thanks to all who brought goodies to eat and a special thank you to CE for bringing in and cooking up some tasty wild game (bear, caribou, bison, etc) and for Dan helping out with the cooking. Everyone pitched in and had a great time even in the adversity of weather. Another special thanks to those who shared the knowledge and helped others work on their motorcycle such as Don Simone, our CD Joe Dickson, Rick Simmons, and others. All riders seem to have a good day of working on their wings, talking, eating, with Joe and Bruce providing tools along with Don assisting in maintenance. Bruce took care of the used oil, and offered the use of their home plus their warm shed where he works on his knives. Bruce makes some high quality knives that are very sharp and he typically donates one to charity to support "Relay for Life". This year, our CD, Joe Dickson is working on a knife for charity. Last year, 2007, Melvin, did a good job on a knife and the proceeds went to Relay for Life.
