We put on our annual Casino Picnic 2009 and it was very nice weather, but things heated up with some hot gambling using fake money. People donated prizes of value that everyone tried to make bids on those much wanted items. Having the VA District plaque helped out our event and VA-R is the chapter that took it to their home in Harrisonburg, VA. People had lots of fun trying to win that fake money to obtain the treasure of their dreams. A Big Thanks to all people who donated prizes so people could have fun winning them. Even the silent auction on homemade baked goods went well with a male cook earning the most winnings to support our chapter. Adults and children also played games for prizes. Ray and Mary Lou Hudgins did a super job on keeping the kids games separate and the chapter members brought in nice prizes for the kids to win. Thanks go to all who participated and helped make our primary event a success. A special thanks to all who donated prizes for the auction and for those hard workers who ran the games and cooked all the food in the hot sun. The entire picnic was done with some happy people taking home some nice prizes just before the rain hit.
