VA-O's Norfolk Parade of Lights November 2007

Thanks go to all the people who rode in the Parade of Lights in Norfolk including a trike from VA-C and one wing from another bike club. We had a total of 13 motorcycles, a little more that our initial limit, but it made the parade for us better. We were #29 in a list of over 70 float or group entries this year and was #35 last year. So we are evidently moving up, however, this year we missed the TV spot because we got interrupted by a commercial. We still got seen by thousands of people and smiling faces on many children which made the effort worth it. The parade was about 2 1/2 miles long and very slow, but lots of people were there to see the wings. GWRRA got some really good PR from the GWRRA VA-O signs that everyone had on their motorcycles. All the individually trimmed & cleaned motorcycles with each carrying their own sign looked really good. Everyone had a great time, lots of waving and horn blowing going on for sure. It was a little cool, but this was very welcomed because the parade was really slow this year, basically walking our motorcyles the entire distance. I believe everyone's participation was enthusastic and we were televised live on Channel 13 just didn't make the TV spot.
